Kindling Growth Partners is a growth consultancy based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thom Crowe founded it and leads every engagement, and we bring in partners we trust when a project calls for it.
I got into marketing a little sideways. My degrees are in English and theology, and in 2014 Compose took a chance on me as a growth hacker. It totally worked out. We grew to more than 3,600 customers, IBM bought the company, and I accidentally got promoted to Senior Product Marketing Manager for IBM Cloud Databases.
From there I spent a few years in developer communities at Serverless, InfluxData, and Teleport, running meetups and hackathons and helping open source projects find their people. Then I moved into marketing and growth leadership at Equinix Metal, Vercel, Dome, and Beyond.
The whole time, the Church has been a big part of my life. I'm a priest serving in a parish, and I've done a lot of nonprofit fundraising along the way, from events and annual campaigns to capital campaigns. I kept noticing that parishes wrestle with a lot of the same things the companies I worked for did. That's where the church side of Kindling Growth Partners came from.
When I'm not working, I'm with my family here in Tulsa, probably cooking something, and almost certainly counting down to Christmas.
